East Wall Window ( Chancel ). This window glass was inserted post WW2 after the previous window ( pictured below ) was damaged by a bomb which fell near to the church building in 1941. The window depicts from L to R , St.Paul, the Ascending Christ and, St. Bede. The stained glass is the work of Newcastle glass manufacturer, L.C.Evetts.

This rather sombre scene depicting the "Death of Bede" was inserted in the East Window during the Victorian restorations of the church. Unfortunately we do not have a coloured image of the glass, which was destroyed beyond repair in 1941.
