Fenwick Lawson. A.R.C.A.
Fenwick is an artist and sculptor from the North of England, based in Durham. After studying art, he was appointed as a lecturer at Newcastle Upon Tyne College of Art, which then merged to form Newcastle Polytechnic in 1961 and progressed to become Head of their Sculpture Department until his retirement from teaching in 1984. Fenwick created the three wooden sculptures which adorn St. Paul's, and are a constant source of interest and admiration to the many visitors of the church. John Piper (1903 - 1992)
